WHAT'S on in September 2010

With guest artists Nigel Borell, Ellis Aranga, Heeni Kerekere, Tawera and Henare Tahuri, Linda Munn and Matthew Randall  from New Zealand.

The role and responsibility of passing on knowledge is central to Indigenous cultures and is the basis of this show.

New works are inspired by: traditional Aboriginal stories; traditional Māori proverbs; and the effects of being a half caste in a modern society. More importantly the level of change in their work which has become infused with new cultural, spiritual and artistic meaning as a result of their Te Tihi experience.      

The show will feature works from guest artists visiting from New Zealand. Come and share in the diverse array of works on show including: paintings, prints, carvings, furniture, installations, weaving and much more.
